Sleeper pond

This is my first pond made from old railway sleepers. I use it as a display, and for keeping small pots of aquatics for sale. The big fern in the centre is one of the Ceratopteris species. It came from Cape York Peninsula (Northern Queensland). It grows to about 60cm tall, will grow totally submerged, semi-submerged or in very damp shaded soil. It is crispy similar to celery and makes many plantlets on the fronds when they lay on the water.
