Jubaea chilensis at the Royal Botanic Garden, Kew, 2005
The world's largest greenhouse plant . . . GROWN FROM SEED amazingly. That trunk must be almost six feet in diameter - totally awesome. It is 58 feet tall, sadly soon to be cut down because it has hit the roof. The Temperate House is a grade one building so it can't be altered. The good news is they have a young one growing.
