Hydrangea anomala ssp. petiolaris

This is one of my climbing Hydrangeas. This is ONE plant that I planted 10 years ago on a wall and it has now almost reached the limits of the wall, which is 55 feet long.

 

This is a highly recommended plant for the pond area. It likes moist, but not wet, soil. It does not do well in very hot weather and needs a winter rest. There are two different flowers in the clusters, sterile and non sterile.
