The garden was virtually at the center of the hurricanes that struck Florida in September 2004. By November, there was still obvious damage in the wooded areas, but the public areas were neat as a pin. Additional light to the ponds resulting from the loss of trees allowed the aquatic plants to flourish. < This fallen tree will stay.
