Provenance of
N. 'King of Siam'
(Thamasuwan, 1998)

Note: Rich Sacher, American Aquatic Gardens, was the original importer of 'King of Siam' to the United States. No name was provided by the exporter so Sacher named it and the name was published and established in 2002. Hybridizer Chaipol Thamasuwan had named it 'Chalong Kwan'. This name was not published prior to 2002 so is a synonym for 'King of Siam'.

Knotts, Baron, Belloisy and Stevens photos: Received in 2002 and 2003 from Rich Sacher, who received it from Thailand.

About Provenance

Provenance provides the history of and chain of ownership of plants pictured on this web site. Each image in the cultivar and species galleries has been researched to the best of our ability for accuracy. Print references for waterlilies can be found in the Bibliography of Names. Images have also been reviewed by acknowledged experts. When possible we provide this provenance, from the hybridizer, back to the hybridizer or, for older cultivars, back to an expert source.
