I was SOOO excited when I saw the first bud! It was way down at the crown and I counted the days waiting for my first Victoria flower. I even set up a web cam so friends around the world on the Victoria-Adventure email discussion list could watch too. The first bud never opened :>(
This isn't unusual for a first bud, especially if nighttime temperatures are cool.
